Access to Finance

Difficulty connecting to investors, banks, and other fundraising options can be a huge gatekeeper for women entrepreneurs. We bridge this gap through microfinance, grant funding and financial literacy programmes.

About this Programme

Access to capital remains one of the most significant barriers facing women entrepreneurs across Africa. Women-led businesses receive less than 10% of available credit despite demonstrating equal or better repayment rates. Our Access to Finance pillar addresses this systemic gap through a multi-pronged approach — connecting women entrepreneurs to microfinance institutions, facilitating grant funding applications, providing financial literacy training and advocating for gender-responsive lending policies. We work with banks, microfinance institutions, impact investors and development partners to create financial products and services that truly serve women's business needs.
