About this Programme

The 'Our Roots' pillar represents WAN's commitment to grassroots community development. We believe that sustainable change starts at the community level — with women who understand their local challenges and have the vision to address them. This programme nurtures women-led community development initiatives by providing seed funding, mentorship, technical assistance and peer networks. From small-scale agricultural cooperatives to community health initiatives, from local craft enterprises to neighbourhood education projects — we support women who are transforming their communities from the ground up.
